Back in November, FTVLive told you that longtime WPXI Anchor David Johnson was going to step down after 40 years at the station.

The Cox station announced that Gordon Loesch will replace Johnson at 5,6 and 11 PM.

“Gordon is an excellent journalist, anchorman and reporter. He’s the perfect choice to take over the evening news chair. He’s a terrific co-worker and I’m proud to call him a friend. I couldn’t be happier for him,” Johnson said of his replacement.
