The new year is just days old and we already have a change at the top of an NBC O&O.

WCAU (Philly) General Manager Rick Harris sent an email to the staff saying he’s leaving.

The interesting thing is that he’’l be gone by the end of the week.

Normally, for a GM’s exit to be that quick, there is more to the story. Many inside the NBC O&O believe that’s the case here.

Of course, it is likely we will never know fore sure as NBC is very good about demanding transparency, except when it involves NBC.
