Scripps has named a new General Manager at WLEX in Lexington, and the person comes from engineering at the station.

Sean Franklin is moving from the Director of Engineering to the corner office at WLEX.

Franklin was previously was an operations manager at WLEX and began his career at the station as a production assistant.

Sources at the station say this is actually a good move by Scripps (I know, right?) and that Franklin is one of the good ones.

Nice to see a person work their way up.
