His Return was Sponsored?!

You may remember that KTLA’s Mark Kriski suffered a stroke and has been missing from the air.

We’re happy to report that Kriski made his return to the Nexstar station, which is certainly great news.

But, in watching the clip of his return, we noticed that the last minute of his introduction was a shoutout to a sponsor. They can't just welcome back a stroke victim. They have to get the sales team involved. So... how much of a "surprise" was his walk-on anyway if they had time to sell ads around it and give everyone props? This would've been a much more genuine segment if the talent didn't know he was there.

Sadly, this appears to be the Nexstar way.
