A number of people at CBS stations tell FTVLive that many of the O&O’s are moving to solo anchors for the late newscasts.

“They are doing it to save money,” said one CBS employee to FTVLive.

There was a time, back in 1960’s and early 70’s in which most newscasts were anchored a a single person.

I guess CBS is headed back to that era.
