When FTVLive first launched nearly 25 years ago, the first media outlet to do a story about the brash new TV website, was Broadcasting and Cable. Senior Editor Dan Trigoboff penned a story about FTVLive.com

Now, the owner of Broadcasting and Cable has announced that they are shutting it down.

I remember reading the magazine when it was still called “Broadcasting” and cable was barely a blip.

Broadcasting launched back in the early 30’s and the fact that it is shutting down is sad.

Back when Broadcasting first did that story on FTVLive.com, I think most would have bet that 25 years later, FTVLive would have been long gone and Broadcasting would still be going strong.

The times have certainly changed.
