Sources at Sinclair’s WKRC (Cincy) tell FTVLive that the station is currently running newscasts with essentially no sports department. This is all happening just before the kickoff of the NFL regular season.

Insiders tell FTVLive that WKRC is using a carousel of news reporters to fill the sports void until they hire someone.

“But management are seemingly only trying to hire the cheapest talent they can try and find to save a buck. The offering salary seems to be a joke when you look at what other talent in the market is making,” said a station insider to FTVLive.
