Sources at Sinclair’s KATV (Little Rock) tell FTVLive that during Tuesday’s morning news meeting, News Director Amy Sullivan informed the staff that she is stepping down due to health reasons.

“She mentioned that she will be taking time off to focus on her health,” a station source told FTVLive.

Sullivan confirmed to FTVLive that she was leaving.

This exit comes at a tough time for the station. KATV’s Weekend Anchor, Lisa Hutson was recently arrested.

Also, for the first time in recent memory, KATV lost in the May demos to KARK, who was quick to get the promos on the air.

No word on who takes over for Sullivan.
