Longtime KTVI (St. Louis) Investigative Reporter Elliot Davis says that he’s hanging it up after 45 years.

I also want to thank you, the viewers, for supporting our efforts for all these decades. Without you, I wouldn’t still be here. Without you, ‘You Paid For It,’ would not have had the impact that I believe it’s had for so many years,” Davis said.

Davis says he’s enjoyed his career from start to finish but now he’s looking forward to spending time with his daughter and granddaughter.

Davis will sign off in early August.
