FTVLive has been telling just how bad things have gotten at WFXT, Boston 25.

Now, the company has named Scott Isaacs as the station’s new News Director.

This is akin to handing over the wheel of the Titanic after it hit the iceberg.

Isaacs spent the last seven years as News Director at WJAR NBC 10 in Providence, RI.

“We’re excited to have Scott join the Boston 25 family,” said GM Todd Brown, “This appointment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality local news, weather, traffic, sports and other programming our viewers love.

“Local news has never been more important than it is right now,” Isaacs said. “I’m honored to be joining the talented staff at Boston 25. I’m excited about evolving Boston 25′s innovative news product so that we are there whenever and wherever our viewers need us.”

It should pointed out that Boston 25 is way back in the ratings.

Isaacs will have his work cut out for him.
