WBTS NBC 10 in Boston is struggling in the ratings and is trying to become somewhat relevant in the market.

With the Karen Reed trial being on interest in the Boston area, NBC 10 came up with a good idea of offering a “Karen Reed Trail” newscast at 7 PM.

But last night, if viewers were looking for it, they might have been confused. As 7 PM came, there was no news special, just a loop of the same 4 promos running over and over again.

At 7:05 PM, the same promos were running. The same thing at 7:10 and 7:15. No scroll to tell viewers what was happening.

At 7:16 PM, they finally came on the air and apologized for the delay. By this time, I think any viewers they might have had long clicked off the channel.

To make matters even worse, during the marathon promo session, one promo featured Longtime meteorologist Matt Noyes. Noyes had recently left the station.
