Nexstar has been getting slapped on the wrist pretty hard by the FCC for some shady dealings.

The FCC has told Nexstar that sidecar Mission Brodcasting needs to sell off WPIX in New York.

Nexstar, using Mission Broadcasting had tried to purchase WADL in Detroit to make it one of their CW stations. The FCC also had questions about that deal.

Now, Nexstar is taking their ball and going home.
