TV News Check is a website that links to stories from other TV websites. It doesn’t do much original reporting; it just copies and pastes links to other people’s work.

They don’t like FTVLive because we called them out for shutting down their website due to a lack of income and then, a couple of days later, begged people to spend $200 to bring the site back.

Since we posted that story, they have not linked to any of our FTVLive stories. That’s cool; it’s their site, and they can do whatever they want.

But yesterday, they got a bit unethical.

Their newsletter posted a story about Jennifer Lyons becoming the interim boss at the CBS O&O in Detroit.

They gave credit to TV spy for the story, which at the time I am writing this story, TV spy hasn’t even reported the story yet.

If you clicked on the link to the TV spy story, it brought you to this story on FTVLive.com.

Yep, TV News Check is using our story but giving credit to another outlet.

That’s some straight-up bullshit right there.

Will they correct this error?

Not bloody likely.
