This is How Cheap Companies Work
A couple of days ago, FTVLive told you that as nasty weather was hitting the Savannah area, WTGS (Savannah) Chief Meteorologist Tommy House was tasked with going solo for 3 hours covering the severe weather.
House had no help, because WTGS is a Sinclair station, and the newscasts for WTGS are anchored and produced from Sinclair’s WPDE in Myrtle Beach.
House is based in Savannah with a few MMJs, but the Anchors and weekend weather are done from Myrtle Beach.
This is one of the big problems when a company like Sinclair wants to produce newscasts from outside the market.
As House continued to report on the wicked weather, he started losing his voice. If he lost his voice, there was no backup plan in place to keep viewers safe.
The FCC really needs to put a stop to local newscasts produced outside the market.
The cheapness by Sinclair could put viewers’ lives in danger.
