He'll Be Teaching the Kids
As you know, Scripps is hiring young and inexperienced Journalists.
The company has created a new position that they dub “Executive Reporter.” The Executive Reporter's job is to show the kids how to cover news.
I’m not sure what the job of Managing Editor, Assistant News Director, or News Director is at Scripps, but the new layer of bosses to to teach the young ones how to report.
Sean Moody says that he is headed back to Utah to work as the Executive Reporter at KSTU.
He posted this to social media:
“Some exciting news - We’ve got a little over a month left in Kentucky before heading back to Utah!
I’ve accepted a job at Fox 13 in Salt Lake City as an executive reporter. This is a position that’s just been created and it’s one that I’ve wished for years had existed in every newsroom. I’ll be coaching and helping the reporters develop their storytelling skills in one of the best storytelling markets in the country.
It’s been so good to be back home here in Kentucky these last two years, but we’ve also missed Utah terribly. Tori and I can’t wait to be back in the mountains and deserts, skiing, climbing, and hiking.
Kentucky friends - let’s all get together before the end of May. Utah friends - see you soon!!”
