OJ Simpson, holding a gun to his head in the back of a white Ford Bronco, being driven by his friend AC Cowlings, being followed by many California Highway Patrol vehicles.

It happened on June 17, 1994.

CNN covered the death of Simpson yesterday, but that couldn’t get the date right on one of the biggest stories.
