Demoted in Rockford?
It appears that Nexstar’s WTVO/WQRF (Rockford) has demoted longtime Anchor Eric Wilson.
Wilson has worked in TV news in Rockford for nearly 30 years. He hasn’t been seen on the Anchor desk since February.
The Nexstar station has posted a job opening for an evening Anchor.
Wilson appears to be still working behind the scenes at the station but declined to comment on his status.
The station’s GM has not commented on the situation because, you know, it is the communications business.
