WJLA Employees Ask Viewers NOT to Watch

NABET Local 31, which represents workers at WJLA, continues to push for a fair contract for its workers at the Sinclair-owned WJLA.

NABET members hit the streets recently, handing out flyers that asked the viewers to turn off WJLA.

Members also asked for support by sending WJLA General Manager Todd Bernstein an email stating their support for the workers and that they would no longer frequent WJLA or any of their advertisers until a fair contract is reached.

One union worker said, "It is a shame that we have to give up a big part of our weekend to do things against our employer.  All we want is a fair contract and I am willing to do whatever it takes to get one!"
