WCJB (Gainesville) morning show Meteorologist Mike Potter has been promoted to Chief Meteorologist at the Florida station.

He’s staying on mornings, but he finally gets the Chief Met title. Potter has been at the small-market station for 32 years.

It shows that if you’re patient and wait over 3 decades, you to might get promoted to the main gig.

Potter has worked at the station since 1992. The move comes after long-time Chief Bill Quilan decided to leave the station after 27 years.
