When Nexstar’s News Nation hired Adrienne Bankert to launch their morning newscast, FTVLive questioned the hiring.

FTVLive told you that News Nation demoted Bankert, pulling her from the anchor chair on the morning show.

Well, guess what?

News Nation’s “Morning in America” got a huge bounce in the ratings in January after jettisoning Bankert. 

NN replaced Banket with Markie Martin and Bankert was sent away to do “special correspondent” things. 

According to Nielsen’s numbers as of Jan. 30th, “Morning in America” had a 50% increase in viewers and, for the first time since its 2021 launch, is among NN’s top five most-watched shows. 

Bankert is known for her big ego, but even this has to sting a bit.
