When I arrived in Jacksonville, Florida years ago (I now live in Orlando) Mark Spain was anchoring one of the local newscasts. He was solid and he was an anchor I would tune into to watch the news.

He left Jacksonville over a decade ago and landed at WSET in the Lynchburg/Roanoke market. Recently Spain has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. 

The station and the viewers are wishing him the best in what is a very tough fight. Even the competition is sending their thoughts.
