Back on October 29th, FTVLive told you why we thought the TV News industry had gotten just a bit better.

FTVLive wrote, “The TV news industry is better this week than it was last week. Why?

Because WLOX (Biloxi) Anchor Dave Elliot is no longer in the business.”

Elliot was fired after he told voters on social media to stay home if they plan to vote for Kamala Harris. He threw ethics out the window and showed where he stood politically.

In that same story, we wrote, “If another station does hire him, we’ll be sure to let you know. But, I hope that no other station is that stupid.”

We wrote that line because, deep down, we knew there was a station that was that stupid.

Morris Media’s WXXV Biloxi) announced that they have hired Elliot, who will join the station on November 25th.

Clearly, WXXV cares nothing about real journalism and the ethics that go along with it.

It’s sad but not unexpected.
