Yesterday, FTVLive told you that Graham’s KPRC (Houston) had hired Ricky Muñoz after he interned for 3 months at the station.

FTVLive heard from some Graham employees who were not happy about this hire. “I worked my ass off to get here,” said one Graham employee, “And this guy is handed a job with no experience.”

This has nothing to do with Muñoz. I’m sure many of us would have taken a job in a top 10 market despite having no experience. So, for Muñoz, I say good for him.

But look at his LinkedIn resume and see if you see anything that screams he should be reporting in a market like Houston.

If Graham saw Muñoz as a “diamond in the rough,” why not hire him at one of their smaller stations for a year or two and let him grow into the position?

While KPRC management might be happy with the hire, I can assure you, there are a number of Graham employees who are not.
