FTVLive told you that Scripps has been quietly trying to get the higher priced suits to take a “voluntary” buyout.

Another Regional VP is headed for the exit. Nick Nicholson serves as the GM of WFTS in Tampa as well as the Regional VP of the Scripps stations in Tallahassee, Lafayette, and Fort Myers.

He quietly announced his retirement recently. Scripps announced his replacement already. The company bumped up WFTS Station Manager Teresa Morgan (pictured) to the role that Nicolson had. I’ll bet money it was at a much lower salary.

Scripps made a big deal last year about promoting six GMs to serve as regional VPs, and now 2 of the 6 are out.
