In what appears to be a domestic incident, WOIO Reporter Winnie Dortch has been hospitalized after being shot.

Officers received a call reporting that two people were arguing. While officers were arriving on the scene, 911 callers said they heard gunshots.

Police say Dortch had at least one gunshot "serious" wound.

The man who is believed to have shot her, Bryant Carter was found dead at the scene.

Cops say Carter killed himself after shooting Dortch. Police said that the two are familiar with each other.
