You Can Lie On Fox News
There is a big difference between being on Fox News and testifying under oath.
Chris Miller served under the Trump Administration as the Acting Secretary of Defense and was in that position when the January 6th insurrection happened.
While appearing on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show, Miller said that Trump ordered the National Guard to be deployed ahead of Jan 6.
Hannity asked him if he had made the same statement under oath “under the penalty of perjury.”
“Absolutely,” Miller replied to Hannity.
Let’s watch him tell Hannity that and compare it to what he really said under oath.
First, if Hannity had prepared a bit better for the interview, he would know that Miller did not say what he claimed to Hannity. At that point Hannity could have called him out for lying.
Second, if you’re expecting Sean Hannity to follow up with the correct information and point out the fact that Miller lied, it’s not going to happen.
Miller’s statements on Fox News make Trump look good, and that’s all Hannity wants.
The fact that the guy made a boldface lie on Hannity’s show is fine for Fox News, as long as the lie stays on message.
