Chopper Had No Engine Issues Before Deadly Crash

The NTSB is out with their preliminary report on the deadly crash of WPVI’s (Philly) news chopper crash.

While the full report can take up to a year, the NTSB did say that the chopper had no engine problems that would have prevented normal operation.

The station had a full-time lease with US Helicopters Inc. The crash happened on December 19th, killing both the pilot and the photographer on board.

The helicopter’s last inspection was conducted on the day of the crash. The news chopper was refueled before the deadly flight, which was its third of the day.

The final report on the crash will be issued later this year.
