Ron DeSantis's team was not happy with the media, and you might be surprised that their anger was directed at the right-wing media.

DeSantis and his staff were pissed because the media declared Donald Trump the winner before some caucus sites had started voting in Iowa.

“It is absolutely outrageous that the media would participate in election interference by calling the race before tens of thousands of Iowans even had a chance to vote,” said DeSantis spokesman Andrew Romeo. “The media is in the tank for Trump and this is the most egregious example yet.”

Ron Desantis then said some of the most truthful words to ever come out of his mouth. “[Trump’s] got basically a Praetorian Guard of the conservative media. Fox News, the websites, all this stuff,” DeSantis said at a recent campaign stop, alluding to Roman emperors’ bodyguards.“They just don’t — they don’t hold him accountable because they’re worried about losing viewers and they don’t want to have the ratings go down.”

He’s right. Fox News got hammered for their reporting on Trump and his campaign in 2020. They lost viewers, and many of the talent inside Fox News were screaming about how badly they were treating Trump.

Since then, Fox News has bent over backward for Trump.

They have let him dictate when he will be on their air. Fox News CEO and second in command even went so far to fly to Bedminster and beg Trump to appear on their debate.

Fox News is scared to death of crossing Trump and pissing off his base a second time.

While Ron DeSantis might be full of shit, on this topic he hit the nail on the head.
