I’m not sure why, but apparently, many TV news people think that dancing is part of their job description.

It’s Not.

Can you imagine going to the ballet and they stopped dancing and started reading the news in an anchor voice?

Silly right?

So, why do TV news people think that dancing is something viewers want to watch them do?

A Journalist sent FTVLive this dancing video and they wrote in the email, “This is some of what you’ve been talking about and hits on the point that the anchor desk should be treated with respect. You can have fun, and we are all guilty to a point, but keep in mind, that is likely the same place where you’ll share some of the worst news someone might hear that day.”

The news set should not be a prop in your dance video.

As FTVLive reported earlier, one LA station has finally ended it. Your News Director should copy and paste that memo and send it out to the talent.
