The Firm’s KCPQ recently named former San Francisco News Director Amber Eikel as the General Manager at the Seattle station.

Station insiders tell FTVLive that Eikel has been telling the staff that she is putting the focus back on news.

While that sounds like great news, let’s look at a portion of handoff note from the assignment desk from over the weekend.

So, while the boss says they are putting the focus back on news, on Sunday, the station did not have a single Reporter for the AM, dayside, or nightside.

A staffer tells FTVLive that this was not due to anyone calling in sick, it was just how the schedule was made.
