You continue to see TV stations gut their sports departments. A number of stations, even in bigger markets, have eliminated sports or taken the department down to a single person.

Then there is WBKB in the tiny market of Alpena, Michigan. How small is it, WBKB is the market’s CBS, NBC, ABC, and Fox affiliate for Alpena.

FTVLive checked the station’s staff bio page, and although they have just seven on-air positions, two of them are in sports.

Also, the station’s on-air diversity is better than many stations five times their size.
