Bed Bugs Invade Indy Control Room
An insider at Nexstar’s Indianapolis Mater Control Hub tells FTVLive that the employees were recently made aware of bed bugs discovered in the chairs used by the staff at the hub.
“When asked about it, one of the Assistant hub managers said that they had been informed on Sept. 2nd.” An insider says. ”They have a company coming out to spray on the 14th.”
So, it’s taking almost two weeks to have someone come to spray for the bugs? WTF?
“When asked why employees did not receive an email about the issue, the assistant hub manager said that the main hub manager “had been on vacation.” The staffer said to FTVLive. The staffer also pointed out that the Hub Manager was in the station the day the conversation happened.
The employee says, “There are now at least two third shift employees complaining of bites from these bed bugs, and several people across shifts using personal funds to bring in metal and plastic chairs to avoid the bugs.”
If I were there, I would inform my boss that I would return to work after the area was treated and deemed safe.
This is ridiculous.
