Longtime Chicago Sports Anchor Jim Rose (pictured) announced that he is going to retire from WLS in the middle of next month.

While the ABC O&O has not announced a replacement for Rose, many think the job should go to Ryan Chiaverini.

Chiaverini has filled in on the sports beat, but he is also seen during all the parades on the station’s air and filling in on Windy City Live. He is sort of the Ryan Seacrest of Chicago; you turn on the TV, and there he is.

Sources tell FTVLive that Chiaverini’s contract with the station is ending around the time Rose Is signing off.

Let’s see if he can play this right into a big fat contract.
