WPEC (West Palm Beach) Reporter Dani Travis is headed from the East coast of Florida to the West coast, to cover the hurricane that is bearing down on Florida.

Travis is really excited, and her biggest hope is that she gets to meet the American Bald Ego, Jim Cantore, while she is covering the storm. She wants people in the storm’s path to let her know if you see Cantore.

Ummmm….those people might be too busy trying to save their lives and property to play lookout for the young Reporter.

She tells her followers that she will be standing out in 100+ MPH winds covering the storm.

While this might seem like all fun and games for her, there are people in Florida who are very worried about riding out another hurricane. The hurricane could hit Florida as a Category 3 and maybe even higher.

If that happens, some people will lose their homes and some will lose their lives.

But, Travis's goal is to see Jim Cantore.

FTVLive is inside the cone and we will be doing our best to prepare and get our place storm-ready.

We will not be looking out for Jim Cantore and we will not be getting our storm information from WPEC. We will tune into media outlets that are sending seasoned Journalists to cover the storm. Not some kid, that hopes to catch a glimpse of the Bald Ego.

Also, you’re headed to cover would could be a catastrophic event. Maybe we shouldn’t also post the smiling selfies.
