Signing Off in Buffalo After 40 Years

Mike Randall has been a feature reporter, a weather guy, a meteorologist, the Chief Meteorologist and an MMJ in his 40 years at WKBW in Buffalo.

He joined the station when it was the blowtorch of Buffalo. He worked there while Granite drove the proud station into the ground, and he has been there since Scripps have tried to revive the station (which so far has not happened).

Now, Mike Randall is calling it quits in August.

He tells the Buffalo News, “When I started working there in 1983, I never thought that I would make it three years, let alone 40 years,” Randall said, “It’s been a great ride. I’m going to be 70 years old and 40 years on the job. That adds up to 110 years. And not that good at math.”

That’s a damn good run.
