Longtime WRAL News Director Rick Gall announced that he was going to retire from the Raleigh station.

He’s not leaving in two weeks, later this summer, or even this year. Gall announced that he would be stepping down in May of 2024.

Talk about giving plenty of notice.

It should be pointed out that this is a good job for any News Director, WRAL is one of the top stations in the country that still does real journalism.

So, you might want to get your resume ready, but, you do have plenty of time.
