CNN’s Jake Tapper appeared on a podcast to pimp his new book, but also talked about the morale at CNN since the firing of CNN boss Chris Licht.

Tapper said this is much better at CNN without Licht, saying, "Morale hasn't been better in years.”

But wait!

Licht only lasted a year at CNN, and yet Tapper says morale hasn’t been this good in years. So, doesn’t that mean that morale wasn’t very good at the end of Jeff Zucker’s reign, either?

You talk to some CNN staffers, and they act like CNN was all rainbows and unicorns under Zucker’s watch.

Hearing what Tapper said, that might not have been the case.
