Nexstar Changes How They Hand Out Raises
A source at Nexstar’s KFOR (Oklahoma City) tells FTVLive that the company is changing the way it hands out raises.
While Nexstar often gives employees just a tiny 1% raise, some are going to wait longer to get it.
“In years past, all of us would receive them in June. Starting this year, when you receive your raise is now based on your hire date. For example, an employee who expected to receive their “raise” in June because that's how it has always been, but was hired in November, now has to wait until November to get their yearly raise,” the source tells FTVLive.
“I do not blame this on KFOR management. They’re fighting to get us more pay. They know employees are struggling…” the Nexstar employee said, “This is all on Nexstar. It seems this company is doing everything it can to kill local news and rid the station of all of its employees (some of which have been here for close to 30 years).”
It should be pointed out that Perry Sook’s $18 million dollar raise came in on time.
