Fox Pulls Laura Ingraham Out of Primetime

Back on May 19th, FTVLive told you that Fox News was looking to shake up its primetime lineup.

FNC’s primetime ratings had dropped after the network parted ways with the king of hate night TV, Tucker Carlson.

In our May story, FTVLive wrote, “….it appears that (Laura) Ingraham will in fact be demoted, although don’t expect Fox News to say it like that.

Yesterday, Fox News sent out a press release saying that Jesse Watters will take over Carlson’s old spot at 8 PM and that Greg Gutfeld moves to 10 PM.

This gives Fox News an all-white male primetime lineup, which will play to their base.

So, what about Laura Ingraham?

She in fact was demoted out of primetime, and yes, Fox News tried to spin it as it wasn’t a demotion, just as we predicted.

In the release, FNC writes, “Kicking off the network’s primetime programming at 7 PM/ET will be cable news’ highest-rated woman Laura Ingraham with her pivotal Washington, D.C. based show The Ingraham Angle. The program has been the top-rated show in the 10 PM/ET timeslot since it launched in 2017. Throughout her tenure with FNC, Ingraham has interviewed several notable political figures, including presidents, members of congress, and White House officials.”

Let’s be clear, 7 PM is not prime time and despite how Fox News tries to play this, it is a demotion.

Call it what you want, spin it how you want, the fact is, Laura Ingraham is gone from prime time.
