About Sinclair’s recent reorganization.

Email:

“The reorganization is in no way connected to Diamond’s recent bankruptcy filing.”

Bull. Shit.

The execs at Sinclair are in full-scale meltdown mode trying to salvage whatever they can of the company before it is destroyed into oblivion by their own hands. The suits know they can all broker quite a bit of money for themselves when they complete reorganizations or mergers so it’s a nice opportunity to get paid mightily despite being piss-poor leaders.

This effort can, but more importantly SHOULD, fail. Sinclair is circling the drain no matter what. Nexstar is next up with their LIV & CW antics.

Please tell me how these companies give a damn about local news while tying up massive amounts of money to finance their pet projects.

The FCC has totally fucked journalism in this country by essentially pushing locally owned tv stations into extinction. The feds should only allow one major affiliate station in each market per company. The government should treat local news like the bald Eagle. Punish those who try to kill it. The ones killing local journalism right now are the ones who actually own the stations.

About the station that showed a bloody body on a gurney.

Email:

Sorry, at this point I would be showing the bloody body bags from mass shootings. I would also seriously consider showing autopsy pictures of kids killed in mass bookings.

Will this upset viewers? Yes.

We should not try to sanitize these horrible acts with wide shots, police car pictures and yellow tape. Show what has really happened.

But we’ve become numb to the shootings. It’s time for us to take actions to better protect people around us.

Maybe if people see what actually happens to loved ones shot with AR 15s and other guns designed for war we may we’ll be able to work on real solutions regardless of the political party you associate with.

Scott, I just wanted to drop you an email and tell you how much I have been enjoying your newsletter. It is completely different than what you offer up on the website and a refreshing change.

Keep up the great work.
