A viewer in Davenport tells FTVLive that WQAD usually has an 11am newscast but didn’t air one Monday, as it appears they took the holiday off.

KWQC, has a 12 pm newscast, but they also didn’t air the newscast and had tennis on instead.

The viewer tells FTVLive that the local stations were slow to cover a major breaking news story.

And yet, some TV bosses can’t figure out why viewers are tunning out local news?
