Pulling the Curtain Back on Nexstar

A Nexstar employee sent this email to FTVLive after reading our story about Nexstar CEO Perry Sook getting an $18 million dollar raise.

Funny how Nexstar bosses claim there’s no money come contract time but then Perry gets an 18 million dollar raise. They ask some people to take pay cuts because “there’s no money.”

How about the times when the bosses said we couldn’t travel a few hours to cover a sporting event because “there’s no money” yet the general manager tags along on a company paid trip to the Super Bowl to hang out?

Then there’s Newsnation meetings where they ask everyone to leave their cell phones at the door because they’re afraid of being found out. Anyone who questions anything is retaliated against or they sense you have found out how incompetent they are, they will do everything in their power to get rid of you.

It’s a culture of lying, manipulation, and insecurity. They love people who blindly follow their bs.

The zero tolerance swearing policy enforcement depends on if you’re friends with the bosses or SVPs.
