Weather Channel Encouraging Staff to Use AI

While companies like Nexstar have told employees to not use AI, other companies are encouraging the staff to do so.

He is a portion of an email sent to the staff at The Weather Channel.

“If you have or ever had a Grammarly account, you need to check out Grammarly GO.  It is the new AI function. It’ll write or rewrite anything for you. You just have to tell it what you want.

I have a meeting with an AI scripting company at 1:00pm.

Here’s a similar email sent out on a different day:

“Grammarly has released its AI function, it is called “Grammarly Go.”. You can use it to write Tweets, Headlines, Banners and rewrite scripts. You are obviously still responsible for your content but it’s worth kicking the tires on. It is also responsive to being told to write hashtags and search engine optimized content.”

FTVLive hears from people on almost a daily basis that are worried about AI, and what it means for their future. Many of us will figure out how to leverage AI tools to increase our productivity, but too many others will be left behind.

I think that companies that are putting their head in the sand on AI and what it means for the future, are making a huge mistake that will cost them dearly.

If your company or station is banning g the use of AI, it doesn’t mean you can’t experiment and learn AI prompts on your own time. I encourage everyone to learn about AI and start playing around with it.

I can assure you, your future self with thank you.
