If you go to the “meet the team” page of Nexstar’s WWLP (Springfield, Massachusetts), you no longer see a bio pic of longtime Reporter and movie critic Sy Becker.

Becker joined the station in 1979, and it appears he is now gone.

As one insider said, “… if he were to retire, they would have made a BIG DEAL about it because he’s been at 22 (WWLP) since Moby Dick was a sardine.”

It does seem odd that an employee that has been at the station for over 4 decades is just gone, with nothing being said.
