Are You Embarrassed?
We're five months into 2023 and several TV station owners are still violating California's pay range law.
The law states that a company must post the salary range in all job postings.
KIEM in Eureka, CA has an opening for an MMJ, and there is no posting of salary range. That makes the station in violation of the law.
The station also has a Master Control job posted, it also violates the law.
KMIR in Palm Springs is also breaking the law in their posting for an MMJ. Nowhere in the posting is salary information available.
And let’s add Sinclair’s KBAK in Bakersfield, CA to the lawbreaker list. The station has an Anchor opening and did not post salary information on the position.
Now, maybe these stations are just too embarrassed to post the salary that they are willing to pay for these jobs.
But it is the law and this information should be posted.
