I do like reporting stories in which a News Director is bumped up to the role of GM, instead of some sales dweeb.

WDBJ (Roanoke) News Director Eric Walters is getting that bump inside the Gray TV food chain.

Gray announced that Walters will become the General Manager of KMVT (CBS) and KSVT (FOX) in Twin Falls, Idaho (DMA 190).

Sure it’s a tiny market, but you have to start somewhere.

He’s on the new gig effective June 12.
