I was on the phone with a News Director when I got the email that Fox News had fired Tucker Carlson.

I told the News Director what was happening and read Fox's statement, “Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.”

 I immediately told the ND that I would bet my house that the person that Fox News would tap to host Carlson’s show would be Brian Kilmeade.

The ND said she would take all the other Fox News people and I would get Kilmeade for a $5 bet.

I won $5 bucks.

Kilmeade is always the guy when Fox News needs to just fill a whole with some bland white toast.

You can bet that Kilmeade will put his name in the hat to replace Carlson and you can bet he won’t get the job.

For years, I just referred to him as “the guy that sits across from Steve Doocy” on Fox and Friends.

Kilmeade has little talent and he’s certainly not ready for prime time. Hell, he’s not even ready for mornings. He doesn’t have any convictions and just basically goes with the right-wing crowd in whatever direction he points him.

You tell me that I have to watch Killmeade or wet paint dry for and hour, and I’m picking wet paint each and every time.
