As Fox News continues to tighten the tourniquet around the bleeding the network is experiencing after settling for 3/4 of a billion dollars with Dominion Voting Systems, they still have another lawsuit from voting company Smartmatic.

While Dominion was suing for $1.6 billion, Smartmatic is seeking $2.7 billion.

Fox News sent FTVLive a statement about the lawsuit to see if it doesn’t sound like what they said about the Dominion case.

“We will be ready to defend this case surrounding extremely newsworthy events when it goes to trial, likely in 2025. As a report prepared by our financial expert shows, Smartmatic’s damages claims are implausible, disconnected from reality, and on its face intended to chill First Amendment freedoms.”

 I’m not a betting man, but if I were, I would bet the house that Fox News settles this one long before it goes to trial and not on the day that it’s supposed to start.

Luck for Fox News, they will have a couple of years to help fill up their bank account which took a big hit with the Dominion case.
