Dominion vs. Fox News
Update: The judge will announce later this morning that the trial start date has been pushed back until Tuesday. Rumors are Fox News is working on a settlement.
The media trial of the century is expected to start this week, and Fox News got some more bad news.
Dominion Voting Systems is suing Fox News for their continued reporting about the 2020 election. A number of Fox News hosts and guests claimed the election was “rigged” due to Dominion machines.
Dominion claims that Fox News hosts continue to push the false narrative despite the fact that they knew it was false.
Last week, the judge in the case ruled to make public internal communications that Fox wanted to keep from the public. It included hosts disparaging guests and acknowledging that election conspiracy theories were off base.
The judge agreed with lawyers for Dominion and media organizations that Fox News had blacked out too much information and more of it was made public.
On Nov. 12, 2020, Sean Hannity sent a message to a group of producers and expressed his concern about a drop in his ratings.
This is what Fox News submitted of the exchange:
The un-blacked out version that Fox did not want you to see:
It appears that Hannity was more concerned with ratings than facts.
The trial is expected to last weeks and it appears that it will be embarrassing in part for Fox News, no matter what the verdict.
