Someone pointed me to this story about how WPVI (Philly) used “Women’s History Month” to highlight some of the women working behind the scenes at Philly’s Blowtorch.

Speaking of these behind-the-scenes women in the newsroom, WPVI News Director Thomas Davis said that “They are the foundation of Action News.”

“We really wanted to just tell their story,” said WPVI GM Bernie Prazenica.

Maybe it’s just me, but I did notice that a story about how great the women are at the ABC O&O are, the story quoted and picture the two leaders of the station who both happened to be white men.

Like the old saying goes, “you’ve come a long way baby,” but apparently there is still a way to go.

Just saying….
